Then Abram gave him tenth of everything.

After Abram had saved Lot he gave is tidings to the Lord after he was blessed. That shows that we should always give after we receive.

Peace and Harmony vs. Quarreling and Anger

Genesis 13:8

So Abram said to Lot, "Let's not have quarreling between you and me, or between your herds men and mine, for we are brothers."

We should follow Abram and be harmonious, that is to always try to make peace whenever a argument arises or is about to arise. We should quarrel because we are brothers and sisters in Christ, so we should live in harmony.

Dear God, please help me not to quarrel with David anymore, and be more kinder to him. In Jesus Name, AMEN

We should be like Abram and not worry or hesitate when God calls us to go somewhere. And we must do that willingly.

We should always be serious with God because he may punish you badly. As he punished the people in this verse.

From these the nations spread out over the earth after the flood.

We should be grateful to God for helping in the multiplication of mankind. He started everything again after the flood, and he also helped Noah and his sons multiply.

Rainbow Promises

Genesis 9:13

I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

God has kept his promise or covenant with us till today. We should always keep our promises to God and to other people. I'm not saying that you should be perfect, but at least try to keep the promises you have made.

I will promise to keep my promises till God takes me home.

Dear God, please help me to keep my promises. Although at times I'm lazy, or it is to difficult, I pray that you will help me. In Jesus Name, AMEN.

Burnt Offerings to Worshiping Him

Genesis 8:20
Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it.

Even though Noah could have thrown a party to celebrate the end of the flood, the first thing he did was to built an altar and give burnt sacrifices to the Lord.

We should always thank God for what he has done for us. Although we don't need to give burnt offerings to him, we still can give him our worship.

Dear God, I thank you for saving us from our sins. I pray that you will always help me to worship you wholeheartedly. In Jesus Name, AMEN.
