Rainbow Promises

Friday, 23 January, 2009

Genesis 9:13
I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

God has kept his promise or covenant with us till today. We should always keep our promises to God and to other people. I'm not saying that you should be perfect, but at least try to keep the promises you have made.

I will promise to keep my promises till God takes me home.

Dear God, please help me to keep my promises. Although at times I'm lazy, or it is to difficult, I pray that you will help me. In Jesus Name, AMEN.

Burnt Offerings to Worshiping Him

Thursday, 22 January, 2009

Genesis 8:20
Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it.

Even though Noah could have thrown a party to celebrate the end of the flood, the first thing he did was to built an altar and give burnt sacrifices to the Lord.

We should always thank God for what he has done for us. Although we don't need to give burnt offerings to him, we still can give him our worship.

Dear God, I thank you for saving us from our sins. I pray that you will always help me to worship you wholeheartedly. In Jesus Name, AMEN.

Keep Serving

Wednesday, 21 January, 2009

Genesis 7:5
And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him.

Even though Noah was being teased by the people around him when he was building the ark. He still built it in order to obey God.

We should always serve God even though other people may kacau us. God wants us to serve him, so that is what we should do.

Dear God, please help me to keep serving you no matter what my friends say. In Jesus Name, AMEN

Being Blessed

Tuesday, 20 January, 2009

Genesis 6:18
But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark - you and your sons and your wife and your sons' wives.

Although Noah was living in a time where everyone was bad, he still walked with God. And God blessed him by letting Noah and his family be safe on the ark.

We should be like Noah and walk with God. And when we do that God will bless us.

Dear God, thank you for saving mankind through Noah. I pray that you will help me walk with you as Noah did. In Jesus Name, AMEN.

Obeying by Walking With God

Monday, 19 January, 2009

Genesis 5:24

Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.

We should always walk with God by OBEYING him. And we should also do that by obeying parents and people older than you.

Dear God, I pray that you will help me obey you more and more everyday. In Jesus Name, AMEN
